Whoever has seen the third part of the experiences of Josefine Mutzenbacher must not miss the fourth part. Josefine, who made the acquaintance of the young nobleman Vanya at a glittering party in the Russian legation, experiences a tender night of love. But the romance ends tragically. Vanya is fatally hit in a duel. While trying to meet Poldi again, she meets the rich but older banker Blumenschein, who takes her into his house. Blumenschein is so enthusiastic about Josefine that he even has her painted. When she meets Ferdinand, inexperienced in love, in the painter's studio, she cannot resist the temptation and seduces him. Since this fling has consequences, she tells the banker that he is looking forward to fatherly pleasures. A few months later the banker Blumenschein proudly announces the birth of his daughter Josefine.
